This couple was really special to me because Kevin & I actually went to UCLA together! We danced on the same dance team for a year, and it meant so much to me that he trusted me to take his engagement photos.
He & Stephanie have their wedding down in SoCal next month and they realized that they wanted to display some photos on their guest book table, hence why we got in touch 🙂
City hall is a CLASSIC location for an engagement session – did you know you do not have to get married in here to walk in the building? The building is a public space — San Francisco City hall hours on weekdays are from 8am-5pm PST. Your best bet of getting a grand staircase shot is either at 8am, or right before closing (although at the end of the day, it does feel very rushed, so morning is preferred). Weekdays like Monday-Wednesday also give you a better chance of having less people in your shots 😉
After spending around an hour or so at SF City Hall, we moved to our second location, another classic, The Palace of Fine Arts. There were unfortunately a lot of people here since it was a nice day, but I think we managed to get some great shots, you tell me 😉
