Garden Wedding at Allied Arts Guild | Takeo + Kris

Capturing Takeo + Kris’ Wedding at the Allied Arts Guild was absolute dream come true.

Takeo and I have actually known each other since middle school. When he and Kris reached out and wanted to work with me, I was so excited and honored to capture their special day. Because they wanted me to enjoy my time as a guest,  we came up with a unique game plan where I shot their ceremony, but I had my second shooter turn into an associate photographer by the cocktail hour so I could enjoy the wedding.

Man was it hard to stop working especially somewhere as beautiful as the Allied Arts Guild.

ALLIED ARTS GUILD WEDDING DETAILS

The Allied Arts Guild is a magical garden. It is a venue located in Menlo Park, and I think it is one of the few venues where I’ve seen dinner done outdoors.

We started off at Dinah’s Garden Hotel for details and to get ready. It was such a beautiful and quaint morning. They even rented a vintage car that was epic! (high recommend for beautiful wedding photos).

We didn’t do a first look so Takeo’s first look at kris was down the aisle and his reaction was just *everything* :’).

After the family portraits and bridal party portraits, we headed to Allied Arts Guild for cocktail hour and more portraits. This is where I took off my photographer hat and transitioned into a guest. Allied Arts Guild has so many different gardens to take photos in, so it’s definitely become a new venue favorite of mine.

Kris did a surprise dance with her mom, which was so sweet and touching! I’ve never seen that done before and really loved the idea. and of course for the epic ending, SPARKLER EXIT!

It was such a blast to be a photographer and a guest at this wedding. Congrats to Kris & Takeo – you two deserve the world!
