Every San Francisco City Hall wedding is special. However, when it is a 4th Floor Gallery wedding, it takes the phrase “special” to a whole new level. Don’t believe me? Check out Kaylen and Taylor’s wedding.
Kaylen and Taylor have always been incredibly taken by San Francisco City Hall. So much so that they actually flew in from Houston, Texas to get married here! How cool is that?! Overall, they had no real connection to the building. In fact, they didn’t have one to the city either! They just thought it was a beautiful venue, and they couldn’t wait to have a 4th Floor Gallery Wedding with dreamy photos.
Kaylen reached out to me in November 2021 for their May 2022 wedding. During that time, we were able to virtually meet in order to plan their timeline. I was also able to give them a few vendor recommendations!
These two belong on the cover of every magazine! Their classic and elegant look paired so well with San Francisco City Hall.
The couple booked their 4th Floor Gallery Wedding for the afternoon. Although they only had about 20 guests, the 4th floor has amazing lighting throughout the day and also gives us a lot of access to private space for the ceremony and family photos. If you’re choosing between the mayor’s balcony and SF City Hall 4th floor for a wedding, I’d say the 4th floor does have better lighting, but I do prefer the background at the Mayor’s balcony.
One challenging thing about this day is that there were constantly people around. The afternoons are always busy in city hall, however, we were able to snag some staircase shots right before closing! It is always a challenge getting this shot if we don’t come in the morning, but we did it And I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out.
After the wedding, they all went to have dinner to celebrate with their close friends and family. The lovely couple stayed through the weekend in the city and flew out to Greece to spend their honeymoon in the Mediterranean sun.
Congrats, Kaylen and Taylor!
Thanks for trusting me to capture your special day. You both deserve all of the happiness in the world.
